CSETS Coordinator

The CSETS Coordinator works with the Education Manager to deliver employment and training programs for Pacheedaht First Nation through the Coast Salish Employment & Training Society. This role provides community members with support in accessing training, certifications, and employment opportunities, while maintaining positive relationships with CSETS representatives and ensuring all reporting requirements are met. The coordinator also ensures a safe and supportive environment for members seeking assistance.

Reporting Structure:
This position, within the Education Division of Pacheedaht First Nation, reports directly to the Education Manager. Key responsibilities include tracking data, maintaining client files, completing quarterly reports, and staying informed about training and employment opportunities for community members. The role also focuses on building strong relationships with clients to support their employment and training goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain funding agreements and reporting structures.
- Provide relevant training and certifications of community interest.
- Support clients in completing their CSETS applications and ensuring they have the correct resources
for their program.
- Report to the Education Manager and CSETS Representatives about current projects and client
opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops and provide information to community about the support & opportunities within
CSETS.
- Report quarterly to CSETS and provide all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Facilitate and support training courses in community when required.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and staff within Pacheedaht First Nation.
- Carry out other related duties as necessary and applicable to the role.

Skills and Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of related experience, or an equivalent mix of education and work experience.
- Background in/experience with program coordination, employment training, or community-based services.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in record-keeping and reporting.
- Knowledge of funding agreements and reporting (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to assist community members with applications, resources, and program navigation.
- Effective communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of, or interest in learning about, CSETS and other employment/training resources.
- Level 1 First Aid certification.
- Valid Class 5 Driver License and First Responders Certificate preferred.
